In an initiative dedicated to the efficient use of natural resources and contributing to sustainable development, a large project has been launched to develop a photovoltaic park in a rural area, covering an area of over 100 hectares. This project is an innovative solution for the local community, aiming to generate green energy and reduce the carbon footprint.

LAND EVALUATION FOR OPTIMAL EFFICIENCY:

The project started with a detailed site assessment using photogrammetry. Using the RTK drone, we created a geo-referenced point cloud, providing the accuracy needed for efficient park planning in the national coordinate system.

DATA COLLECTION AND STRATEGIC PLANNING:

The RTK drone flight provided detailed data, including a color point cloud and mesh file of the terrain and RTK GPS measurement to verify the accuracy of the entire job. This information was essential to accurately plan the distribution of the PV panels and associated infrastructure, ensuring that energy efficiency and output were maximised.

DELIVERABLES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PHOTOVOLTAIC PARK:

  1. Color Point Cloud and Terrain MeshUsingdata from the 3D RTK drone scan, we generated a detailed color point cloud and terrain mesh, providing a comprehensive view of the terrain and topography.
  2. OrthophotoplanWeproduced a detailed orthophotoplan, highlighting the details of the land and the projected facilities, providing an accurate map of the area.
  3. Topographic Elevation 3DIThe informationobtained was used to create a 3D topographic elevation, including contour lines, providing a solid basis for detailed planning and optimization of the PV park.

CONCLUSION

These deliverables represent a crucial milestone in the development of PV parks in rural areas. By using advanced technology and focusing on sustainability, we aim to contribute to the creation of a local source of green energy, generating economic and environmental benefits. The project aims not only to develop a photovoltaic park, but also to facilitate the transition to an energy self-sufficient and environmentally conscious rural community.
