3D Scanning of Râncăciov Monastery in Călinești for Restoration and Technical Documentation

We conducted a complete 3D scan of Râncăciov Monastery, located in Călinești, Argeș County, to obtain detailed documentation of the building’s structure and condition. The project included generating rectified façades, an orthophoto plan, as well as 2D floor plans and sections of the monastery. These data will be used for the restoration and conservation of this important religious site, which dates back to the 17th century. Râncăciov Monastery holds significant historical and architectural value, representing a symbol of the religious tradition in the Argeș region. Over time, the monastery has undergone various restorations, and now, with the help of modern technical documentation, the restoration can be carried out to the highest standards of conservation. Our project contributes to preserving and protecting an important monument for Romania’s cultural heritage.
