Modernization of the Student Dormitory and construction of an Indoor Olympic Pool at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport in Craiova

Evaluation and modernisation of the student hostel

The project started with a detailed assessment of the student dormitory, where we applied advanced 3D scanning technology. Using a mobile scanner and RTK drones, we created a geo-referenced point cloud, providing essential data for planning upgrades and ensuring an optimal living environment for students.

Construction of an Indoor Olympic Pool

Our participation also extended to the construction of the indoor Olympic pool. Using 3D scanning technology and RTK drones, we obtained precise data for the planning and construction of the facility. This has helped to ensure that the pitch is optimally secured and that a suitable space is created for training athletes.

Deliverables for the Modernization of the Student Dormitory

1. Detailed 3D Model of the Student Dormitory

Using 3D scanning technology, we helped develop a detailed three-dimensional model of the student dormitory, highlighting areas in need of modernisation and optimisation.

2. Detailed Plans and Sections

The data obtained was used to develop detailed plans and sections, providing a clear view of the proposed changes and ensuring the efficiency of the project.

3. Orthophotoplan for Infrastructure

Through photogrammetry, we produced a detailed orthophoto plan of the student hostel infrastructure, providing precise information for planning the modernisation.

Deliverables for the Construction of the Indoor Olympic Pool

1. Cloud of Color and Mesh Points of the Ground

Using 3D scanning and RTK drone technology, we helped generate a colour point cloud and detailed terrain mesh, providing a solid foundation for the construction of the Olympic pool.

2. Orthophotoplan for Construction

Using photogrammetry, we have developed a detailed orthophoto plan for the construction area of the Olympic pool, facilitating efficient planning and coordination of the works.

3. 3D Topographic Survey with Contour Lines

The information obtained was used to create a 3D topographic survey, including contour lines, ensuring an optimal terrain for the construction of the Olympic pool.

Our collaboration on this complex project has allowed us to advance the modernisation of the student hostel and the construction of the indoor Olympic pool. These deliverables not only reflect the current status of the project, but also highlight the importance of our contribution to the development of academic and sports infrastructure. By specialising in photogrammetry and 3D scanning, we have been involved in creating a solid foundation for the future of physical education and sport at the Faculty of Craiova.
